Alanya Boat Trips with Children — Which Boats Work

Three of the six Alanya boats suit families: the pirate galleon (€20 adult, €14 child), the Starcraft cruise (€35 / €25) and the Manavgat river day (€43 / €30). All three record lunch on board, swim stops and an animation crew. Infants aged 0–3 travel free and children aged 4–11 pay the reduced child price. The night disco boat is the one to avoid — its own conditions say under-18s must be accompanied and the atmosphere suits teens and adults.

What a family actually pays

Two adults and two children aged 4 to 11 on the pirate galleon is €68 for the whole day, with hotel transfer both ways and a cooked lunch included. The same family on the Starcraft is €120, and on the Manavgat day €146.

Infants under 3 travel free on every boat, and they are not a token free — they simply are not charged. You still tell us they are coming, so the crew has a headcount.

The age bands, and why they matter

The booking system charges from three bands: 0–3 free, 4–11 the reduced child price, 12 and over the adult fare. A twelve-year-old pays the adult price, which surprises some parents, so it is worth checking birthdays before you book a big group.

Those bands were corrected in our system in August 2026 — before that a six-year-old was being charged the adult fare on some listings, against our own published terms. If you booked one of these boats elsewhere and paid an adult price for a young child, that is why.

What the day is actually like with children

The pirate galleon is the loud one and children love it: a foam party on deck, games and an animation crew, plus swim stops in sheltered coves. Seven hours door to door is a long day for a toddler, but there is deck space and shade.

The Manavgat day is the gentler option — a river and reservoir cruise, a waterfall, swim breaks in cool water and a bazaar. It runs Mondays and Thursdays only.

Being honest about the hard parts

None of these boats is step-free, there are stairs between decks, and there is no supervised area or childminding — children stay with the adults they came with.

There are no cots, no changing tables and no dedicated baby food. Bring what a small child needs for a full day, because you cannot buy it at sea.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which Alanya boat trip is best with young children?
The pirate galleon. It is the shortest full day at seven hours, the cheapest at €20 per adult and €14 per child, and lunch and hotel transfer are included. The foam party and animation crew are aimed squarely at children.
Do children pay full price on Alanya boat trips?
No. Infants aged 0–3 travel free and children aged 4–11 pay a reduced child price on every boat — €14 on the pirate galleon, €25 on the Starcraft, €30 on the Manavgat and Suluada days. From 12 the adult fare applies.
Is any Alanya boat trip unsuitable for children?
The night disco boat. Its own recorded conditions say the atmosphere is lively and best suited to teens and adults, and that under-18s must be accompanied. We do not list it as family-friendly.
Are the boats safe for kids who cannot swim?
Nobody has to enter the water — the deck is available for the whole trip. Tell us in advance if a child cannot swim so the crew knows. Please read each boat's own safety record on its page rather than relying on a general claim.
