Highlights

  • A full day out, with a long road transfer from Alanya each way
  • Sails Monday, Wednesday and Saturday
  • Swim stops in the bays around Adrasan
  • Suluada island — pale sand and exceptionally clear water

About this boat trip

Suluada lies off Adrasan, at the far western end of the Antalya coast, and it looks nothing like the rest of it: a low uninhabited island ringed with pale sand and water so clear the boat appears to float above its own shadow.

From Alanya this is a committing day out. Suluada is roughly 200 kilometres west, so the drive to the departure harbour is long in both directions and the day starts early and finishes late. What you get for it is the best swimming water on this coast and an island that most people staying in Alanya never see.

The boat anchors off the island for swimming and time ashore, with further stops in the bays around Adrasan. Sailings are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday only — the same days the boat runs from Side and Antalya.

Be honest with yourself about the transfer before you book: if a long coach leg would spoil the day, the Alanya coastline boats are the better choice.

Pickup areas

We collect from hotels along the Alanya strip, from Okurcalar in the west to Mahmutlar in the east. Staying further out? Ask us and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.

Before you board

Safety on board

What is actually recorded for this boat, what the sea does, and what we will not promise you. This section is different on every boat on this site, because the boats are different.

Cover and equipment on this boat

Our record for this boat does not list insurance or safety equipment. Rather than repeat another boat's line here, we would rather tell you that and let you ask — message us and we will confirm exactly what is carried before you book.

We do not sell or arrange travel insurance. If you want personal cover for the day, arrange it before you travel.

Sea conditions and weather

The Alanya coast is sheltered by the headland and is usually calm through the summer, but the Mediterranean is still the sea and an afternoon breeze can put a chop on the water. If you are prone to seasickness, take something before you board rather than after.

If the weather turns and the boat does not sail, you pay nothing — you pay on the day you sail, and you can cancel free up to 24 hours before in any case.

Swimming, and when to tell us

Swim stops are part of the day where the itinerary includes them. You are never required to get in the water — the deck is yours for the whole trip if you would rather stay dry.

Tell us in advance if someone in your party cannot swim, is pregnant, has a heart or back condition, or uses medication that matters on a long day out. It changes nothing about your booking; it just means the crew knows.

Children on board

Infants aged 0–3 travel free, children aged 4–11 pay the reduced child price, and from 12 the adult fare applies. Those are the bands the booking system actually charges from.

Children remain the responsibility of the adults they travel with. There is no supervised area and no childminding on any of these boats.

Boarding and access

This boat is not step-free. You board from the quay in Alanya harbour, and there are stairs between decks. Nobody is carried aboard — if walking a gangway and a few steps is difficult, tell us before you book and we will be straight with you about whether the day will work.

The boat takes up to 40 guests.

What we do not promise

  • An exact pickup time. The hotel strip runs across 10 resort areas and more than forty kilometres, so yours is confirmed the evening before rather than guessed at here.
  • Dolphins, turtles or any other wildlife. They are wild; some days you see them and most days you do not.
  • Flat water. We will tell you the sea is usually calm, because it usually is. We will not tell you it always is.
  • A star rating. We hold no verified reviews for these boats yet, so we publish none — a number we cannot show you the source of is worth nothing.
